Signs your system needs a flush
If your radiators are cold at the bottom, take a long time to warm up, or your boiler is making banging noises, sludge is the likely cause. Powerflush
My radiators weren't getting hot like they used to, and so I was advised by a friend that I might need a power flush as there may be some blockages. I called Metropolitan Plumbing and they came to validate my suspicions and got the job done the next day. My radiators are back working well now, which is a godsend in these colder months. The gentleman was very friendly and kind, and tidied up well upon leaving. He seemed really knowledgeable. I'll use them again.

Who done it!
Phoned metropolitan plumbing LTD to find out who we had chosen from checkatrade to come do our plumbing work. No job got carried out here soz, however the lovely happy voice answering my query over the phone that I was asking if they had come to mine to do the work can't remember who did?. Jen WOW, so nice to hear such an uplifting person at 6pm as well gosh, Just because of her manner or personality. How helpful she was and kind on a phone, I need any job plumbed next time metropolitan is the first company I'd try. She a keeper, I don't leave reviews anywhere. Don't ever lose Jen thank you.

Boiler Installation
The team at Metropolitan Plumbing were communicative, and it was clear that they weren't trying to rip us off with the different options they gave us for our boiler installation. Our old boiler was on it's last legs, and we opted for a new Vaillant which included a 10-year warranty, and they gave me a free servicing the following year on top. The workmanship was impressive, the new pipework is very neat-looking and they worked to complete it in a day's time, which I was pleasantly surprised with. Our new boiler is working efficiently, and they will remain top of my list of plumbers to call.
General Plumbing
I have used the company multiple times, Tom is brilliant tradesman - knowledgeable, tidy, respectful and easy to talk to. Have used Tom for everything including installing radiators, boiler repairs & servicing, shower repair. Since we found Tom (through a recommendation from another plumber who was about to retire) we have not looked any further. He takes your problem and makes it his own. Once I have explained the situation to Tom and know that he's coming I feel a weight lifted as I know it will soon be fixed.

We were quite frustrated by our kitchen sink, as it was draining slow, even after snaking it several times. Tommy from Metropolitan plumbing was efficient, knowledgeable and quick. He found and remedied the main culprit and fixed the sink in less than hour. Installation of Vaillant combi boiler
I was gathering quotes for a new boiler installation for my rental property, I chose Tommy@ TW Plumbing as he provided the most cost effective solutions for a problematic 3rd floor installation. Whilst I was gathering quotes the boiler completely broke down on a Sunday and Tommy was able to attend the property the same day, unfortunately the boiler was completely gone so Tommy installed a new boiler and completed the installation a couple of days later. I had some headaches speaking to various plumbing companies but Tommy is the Ibuprofen of the plumbing world. Highly recommended!!!!
Bathroom repair
Tommy worked hard to replace a tap cartridge that was difficult to remove because of limescale build up and also repaired a couple of exterior waste pipes that were leaking. I am very pleased with the service.

Dripping mixer tap, Boiler noise and rad refit
I have just used Tommy's services twice recently for a dripping mixer tap, refit a heavy rad to it's brackets and investigate odd noise from my boiler. Tommy didn't hesitate with refitting rad, which he did with ease and fixed both the drip with new valves and the boiler noise which has remained quiet since. I found Tommy very polite. Fitting local isolation valves to stop water flow if needed
Tommy was brilliant, he was away on holiday when I contacted him but still gave me a date for when he was back to come and view the job. He came at the time he said he would. The original job was to fit a stopcock in my flat but this was not possible but he found another option for me and completed the job on the same day.
